Mistakes? More please!

According to Cambridge Dictionary, a mistake can be described as, “an action, decision, or judgment that produces an unwanted or unintentional result”. Unwanted, unintentional, unpopular, undesirable are the things which is standing out today in the crowd of ideal entities; social media in particular.

It isn’t always easy to generate the buzz you’re looking for. Knowing what, when and where to publish, can greatly increase the visibility and reach of your content. Unfortunately, social media is full of perfect, flawless, supreme, exemplary, faultless content which no longer remain unique. So “unwanted, unintentional, unpopular, undesirable” has become the new want as it is relatively isolated from the noisy perfection. Most of the viral content fall under undesirable category which gains popularity due to its uniqueness! These evoke high arousal emotions be it positive or negative. An emotionless content cannot go viral. This is a secret of creating a contagious content which cannot remain overlooked.

So why not generate revenue out of it! Let’s make money out of the “unwanted, unintentional, unpopular, undesirable” piece. Let us commercialize our mistakes. Moreover, there will be no guilt involved, no questions on being unethical, no burden of logical thoughts. Wondering why? This is because our lives have become increasingly commercialized in a modern, global society that everywhere promotes consumerism. We are surrounded with images that link glamor and status with possessions. The desire to have ‘more’, have influenced our daily behaviors, and compromises our value system in remarkable ways. A small example: we buy our happiness. So why not sell our mistakes!


Let us introduce a new product into commerce. Let us create undesirable content. Let us create disastrous, dreadful, dumb, embarrassing, dangerous content and present it to the world under the broad umbrella term known as “mistake”. Let us achieve the ultimate goal of making money through one of the most promising avenues of income. Let us commercialize our mistakes. This would entitle us with the role of being a ‘Social Worker’ as we will be able to free the humanity from the guilt of doing mistakes. Hence, no more succumbing to one’s mistakes instead focus on making money out of it. Let us make this world guilt free, generate revenue and provide entertainment to the monotonous online media!
